The CRC offers monthly legal clinics by appointment. Our clinic is open to all West Island residents who are not eligible to legal aid yet cannot afford to hire or consult a lawyer.
Program Features
- Free, confidential, face-to-face, 15-minute legal consultations.
- Referrals to legal resources (legal aid, info-lines)
- Face-to-face consultation on other available resources
- Bilingual
- Variety of legal topics including:
– Family law (divorce, alimony, child support, child custody, etc.);
– Estate law (will contest, probate of a will, rendering of account, destitution of liquidator, etc.);
– Real estate law (latent defects, Régie du logement, etc.);
– Civil liability (car accident, fall, damages, etc.);
– Labor law (dismissal, etc.).
