Program or Service Description:
The Aisenstadt Activity Center offers programs for people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Each of the people attending the center is considered, beyond the diagnoses, to be unique, and the activities offered to them are adapted to their capacities. The staff of the center offer an environment which is distinguished by the care offered and the fact that no judgment is made. The specialized therapeutic programs that are offered improve the quality of life for those who participate. The program includes:
– social and physical activities;
– cognitive exercises;
– inter-generational programs;
– creative dance and movement;
– tactile and sensory stimulation;
– art therapy;
– music therapy;
– reminiscence activities
Age group:
35-64 (adult), 65+(senior)
Eligibility requirements:
Must have a dementia diagnosis and be able to participate in a social environment
Fees:
$20 per group per week
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, hours depend on needs of the group.

Alzheimer Group Inc. (AGI) is a non-profit organization that offers a wide range of services to people directly and indirectly affected by Alzheimer’s disease. AGI intends to increase awareness and understanding of the disease. AGI is dedicated to enhancing the care and support of all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
