Program or Service Description: Volunteer West Island provides a Handyperson Service through which seniors, referred by the CLSCs, can obtain help in completing light repairs around the house. Small things make a difference!

Services offered include: Repairing screens, furniture, other broken items, Changing light bulbs, door handles, locks, Removing and installing window screens, Caulking windows, doors, sinks, Replacing washers on kitchen and bathroom faucets, Installing blinds and security bars, Hanging pictures
Age group: 35-64 (adult), 65+(senior)

Our volunteer handyperson can also be present to assist you when you meet with contractors to discuss services and costs related to larger repairs.
