Program or Service Description:
Welcome Collective collects essential items such as beds, chairs, pots & pans, and winter clothes from donors across the city and delivers them to newly arrived refugee-claimant families, free of charge. We also connect these new arrivals with locals to help them get the information they need to get oriented in their new environment and reduce social isolation.
Age group:
0-11 (child), 12-17 (teen), 18-34 (young adult), 35-64 (adult), 65+(senior), 0-11 (enfant), 12-17 (adolescent), 18-34 (jeune adulte), 35-64 (adulte), 65+(aîné)
Eligibility requirements:
Social workers identify the most vulnerable among this already-vulnerable population and refer them to us.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm. Sometimes evenings for donation pick-ups.

Organization’s Mission:
To provide education, counselling and other support services and settlement assistance to asylum seekers, including basic items such as furniture and clothing, as well as information on local culture, transportation and social services.

We organize many kinds of events, e.g. winter clothing drives, backpack/school supply drives, picnics, art therapy days and are always looking for volunteers to help!

We are always looking for able-bodied volunteers who can help move furniture and also sometimes to move furniture + drive our truck or van.
