Literacy Unlimited is hosting a free workshop for 55+ on December 2 from 1-2:30 pm at Literacy Unlimited in Pointe-Claire. Decorate a tin can using paper and glue to turn into a planter. To sign up, call 438-531-8045.  

Literacy Unlimited is offering free technology help for 55+ on December 12 from 10-11 am and 11-12 pm at Literacy Unlimited in Pointe-Claire. Get 1-on-1 help with your laptop, tablet, or cell phone with our volunteer Tech Mentors. To sign up, call 263-381-2785.

Did You Know?

Friends for Mental Health is offering a new support group for parents of youth living with mental health problems (25 years old and under). It is a safe space to share experiences, break isolation, and find support among people who truly understand what you’re going through. Together, we explore ways to better understand, communicate, and take care of ourselves as parents.

Corbeille de Pain is offering Winter Baskets until April 2026. These baskets are filled with wonderful local and in-season produce, and benefit both local farmers and fellow community members. For each basket purchased, a portion of the price is considered a donation that helps make baskets accessible to more people in our community, allowing everyone to enjoy healthy, seasonal food. CJE’s youth development program is back and currently recruiting for the next cohorts! They’re looking for participants who are facing challenges achieving their professional goals and in need of some extra support. They offer group activities, workshops and constant personalized support in a dynamic team environment which help develop a wide variety of professional/life skills. Carrefour jeunesse-emploi (CJE) is collecting new toys (no used items, please) and non-perishable food donations to help families in need this holiday season. Donations can be dropped off at their Pointe-Claire office in the designated box until December 4.
